Two Waters
This New Build Site consisted of 39 Apartments.
The grounds were contaminated with hydrocarbons present and an initial remediation strategy was drawn up to decontaminate the grounds before any construction work began.
The construction consisted of a concrete frame with Equitone cladding. Equitone cladding is a through coloured architectural fibre cement material that offers a unique aesthetic effect with low maintenance and resistance to fire, water, mould, insects and vermin.
The apartment building had lightweight steel framing system, two passenger lifts installed and an integrated mist system. This integrated mist system was specifically designed for multi-story buildings to detect fires early and eradicate the source as quickly as possible.
A sustainable drainage system (SuDS) was designed for foul waste and the site was situated alongside a canal which meant an attenuation tank and hydro brake were implemented for flood risk.
